If you are having problems with your buckling or popping garage door where a panel hits an obstacle causing it to bend and later break, you will be glad to know that there is an easier and more affordable garage door repair solution. When one-panel breaks, it affects the smooth rolling of the two panels in the garage door.
Fortunately, you can use a shorter and cheaper ax bar, an eight-foot-long slotted angle metal bar available at home depots, to reinforce the two panels.
The metal bars cost 30 dollars each, making this process an affordable garage door repair technique. Although, in this case, it was not necessary to use two metal bars, the garage door owner decided to reinforce both panels using two metal bars.
All that is needed is to unscrew the bottom screw on the bracket of each panel and place the bar at the farthest screw hole. Fasten the screw back and proceed to the middle part of the panel, unscrew the bottom screw and place the metal bar below, then fasten the screw back. Proceed to the other end and repeat the process for the second panel.
